The Ethan staff and students would like to send out a HUGE "Thank You" to several individuals and businesses for helping us with our project geared towards "greening" things up around our school. Our first phase of the project consisted of fertilizing and putting down grass seed on the football field this fall, before the snow starts falling. Jason Moke and Moke farms, along with CHS helped pay for the fertilizer and grass seed, as well as provide the equipment to spread both. The City of Ethan has also helped with a grant for this project.
Several individuals provided the man power to make all of this possible. Thank you to Carter Moke, Aiden Riggs, Jake Storm, and Alex Horstman for all your time and effort in making this project happen. We simply cannot thank you enough!
Lastly, I would like to personally thank our Ag Instructor, Mrs. Susan Roudabush, and her freshman students for the countless hours they have worked on getting things put together for this project. We still have several phases to go, and the freshman class has been instrumental in obtaining financial backing, supplies, and services necessary to make this a reality. There will be many more people and businesses to thank in the future as we continue our efforts with this project. Your generosity is not and will not go unnoticed.
As we enter a time of Thanksgiving, I cannot express enough how I am so thankful to be part of this school district and the Ethan community. We have the greatest staff and students that a superintendent could ask for, and we get to work in the greatest community the State of South Dakota has to offer.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Mr. Hawkins
