Congratulations to the Ethan School Board members for recently being recognized with the ALL AWARD by the Associated School Boards of South Dakota. This award is given to school boards for their dedicated service to their school district, students, staff, and communities. Only a handful of school boards do enough to receive this award, and the Ethan School District is extremely fortunate for having these five individuals as their representatives. Tryouts for basketball cheer will be held on Wednesday, November 13th. If you are unable to attend tryouts, please let Mrs. Herman know as soon as possible. USD Dental Hygiene will be at your school on October 23rd and 24th. See permission slips to fill out for your child to receive FREE dental screenings. Please bring them back to your classroom teacher ASAP to give USD students how many students for screenings.
On Tuesday morning, October 22, there will be flu shots available to students and staff at the school. Forms were sent home last week. If you would like to receive the vaccine, please fill out the form. If you have health insurance, a copy of your health insurance/Medicaid card needs to be attached to the form. Forms and copies will need to be filled out and returned to Mary in the high school office by Thursday, October 17. Thank you!
FFA is doing a Dig Pink meal including a Walking Taco, bar, and a bottle of water. It will be a FREE-WILL DONATION. All the proceeds will go to Ryan Kortemeyer - uncle to current FFA member Creighton Klumb and former member Taite Klumb - who was diagnosed with stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma this summer.
