The Ambush workouts were definitely a HIT! Our 4-8th grade girls' section is FULL, but we still have two spots available in the 1st-3rd grade group and five spots available in the 4th-8th grade boys' group. If there are any current 8th grade boys that want to take advantage of this opportunity, we will accept them, and split them off to work with their age group separately. Thanks for your interest! Please e-mail Jennifer.Klumb@k12.sd.us to reserve one of the last 7 spots!

The Platte 5-8th grade instrumental contest will be held Wednesday, April 24th. The students are to dress appropriately for the day. No blue jeans and no shorts. They should also bring money for lunch. We will leave at 6:30 AM and should be back around 4:30 give or take 15 minutes. I encourage you to come and watch your student in this contest. If you choose to take them home with you, I will need a signed note. They must stay at the contest until the last contestant from Ethan performs or they will be counted absent from school.
Students remember to represent Ethan in a good way.
Wishing everyone the best of luck on Wednesday.

On April 17th at 2:30 p.m., the Ethan FCCLA will be hosting speaker Lisa Larson. Lisa is a suicide survivor and has been sober for almost 14 years now. She is very passionate about spreading awareness for mental health and suicide. We feel that this is a very important topic for our high school students.
Also, the FCCLA will be having a bake sale the next two days to raise money for Lisa's 437 project. The 437 project is a relay type run across South Dakota to raise awareness for suicide and mental health. The money they raise and receive for the project goes to the Helpline Center. The Helpline Center is the only accredited suicide crisis center in the state of South Dakota. It serves thousands of people each year by organizing local agency volunteers, and offering hope to individuals with thoughts of suicide.
If you want more information on Lisa's 437 project go here: https://the437project.org/
If you would like to donate directly to the 437 project this link will take you to their website: https://fundraise.givesmart.com/vf/Lisa24
Sincerely,
