Parents, as of right now, I have one new driver that has committed for next school year. They will only be able to be full-time after the end of October. That means we are still in need of a part-time driver that can drive the afternoon route from the beginning of the school year until approximately November 1st. If we are unable to find that individual, we will not be offering bus transportation next school year. If you are interested at all in driving bus, please contact the school immediately. The Ethan School District will pay the cost of obtaining your certification. If we do not have another driver in place by July 15th, we will be making the decision to cancel our bus routes for the 2024-2025 school year. We certainly hope it does not come to that and will continue to try and obtain one more part-time driver. Mr. Hawkins

The Ethan Parkston track team would like to send out a huge THANK YOU to the Commercial Club and community members who volunteered to work at the Buck Timmins Memorial Track Meet yesterday! The time you gave up to help our athletes was greatly appreciated! Hosting a track meet requires a ton of man power and we couldn't have done it without you all! Thank you!

The Ethan EdRising chapter is sending three students to the National EdRising Convention in Washington D.C. this summer! Hunter Dean, Michael Freeman, and Madi Raymond will compete in their respective competitions, meet new people from across the country, and learn more about both education and our nation’s history while at the convention.
They are currently conducting a calendar fundraiser to help support their trip. You can participate in the fundraiser by the following:
1. Sponsor a day leading up to National Convention (June 1st – 26th). Ex. $1 for June 1st, $10 for June 10th, $26 for June 26th, etc.
2. Sponsor a day at National Convention (June 27th – 30th) for $50.
Each student has their own calendar to fill out, and they are accepting additional donations. If interested, feel free to contact any of these students or their advisor, Mrs. Hostler. Thank you!

SD FFA Members Earn National Scholarships -
There is a need to fill the pipeline of leaders in the agriculture industry, and industry is stepping up to help students meet that need. In 2024, the National FFA awarded $92,500 in scholarships, to 47 SD FFA members, through the National FFA Scholarship program. Scholarships are sponsored by businesses and individuals through the National FFA Foundation and are given for a wide variety of experiences, career goals and higher education plans. These students devoted much time and effort to FFA involvement, work experience, supervised agricultural experience (SAE), community service, leadership skills and academics, making them likely future leaders in agriculture. WTG Michael!!
