The planned GBB/BBB and JH Basketball games scheduled @ Corsica tonight have been postponed.
They have been rescheduled for Monday, February 12th with the same start times. JH games however, will not be played on the new date.
Update to our start time for the GBB game @ The Corn Palace vs Arlington tomorrow. We will play at 7:30pm.

There will be two 3-yr. positions open for the Ethan School Board starting July 2024. Petitions may be taken out on January 26th, 2024 with the last day to file petitions on February 23rd, 2024 at 5:00PM. Only in district residents can run for school board as well as sign petitions. A joint city/school election is set April 9th, 2024.

Due to extreme wind chill values and continuing blowing snow, we will have a 10:00 AM start time on Tuesday, January 16th. Buses will run where possible. Please make sure all students dress properly for the conditions. Mr. Hawkins
The Ethan GBB game that was originally scheduled for the Hanson Classic has been rescheduled to this Friday 1/19, @ the Corn Palace starting at 6:30pm vs. Arlington. No passes will be accepted.
The 5th/6th grade basketball games scheduled with Hanson for tomorrow will not be played. A decision will be made if they will be rescheduled. Mr. Hawkins.
Due to poor road conditions that will continue to get worse as the day progresses, there will be no school, today, Friday, January 12th.
Tonight's planned JH Boys Basketball game vs. TDA has been postponed. The new date for the game will be Friday, January 19th at 6:00pm in Ethan.
FRIDAY FELLOWSHIP will be postponed tomorrow till next week, January 19th. This is open to all high school students grades 9-12. It will be a group meeting that will happen two times a month and there to encourage students to grow in their faith. This is led by Coach Tom Young and Amy Storm. Come check us out - OH, and there will be donuts!
The boys basketball game scheduled for Friday vs. Canistota has been postponed. We are moving the game to Monday January 22nd and it will be made into a GBB/BBB Doubleheader.
Due to our recent influx of numbers in preschool, please e-mail Mary Beyer at the school (Mary.Beyer@k12.sd.us) if you have a child who will be attending Ethan preschool next fall, August 2024. They would need to be 4 by September 1, 2024 to be eligible. Also, if you have a younger child who will eventually attend Ethan preschool and you have not called to get them on our school list, please consider notifying us as well. We want to make sure we have room for all of the in-district families, but some changes may need to be made to accommodate a large class. Looking ahead, Ethan's DIAL screenings and PreK registration will be March 12. All families on the list will be notified by mail.
Roads are snow covered this morning, however, the snow is very light and fluffy. If you do not feel like you can get your students to school, please make sure to contact us. Absences will be forgiven. Mr. Hawkins
